Black Kite

Milvus migrans
The most numerous raptors in the world, these kites can be found in almost every country of the world, with several sub-species across the world.
They have a large wingspan to catch thermals but very small talons; a tell-tale sign of a scavenging bird who rarely tackles live prey.
Kites are well known for stealing food from other birds of prey and even mammals such as lions on the African Plains.
